Congratulations to Darragh and Niamh on their election as Head Boy and Head Girl. Also well done to all the 27 candidates who gave very impressive speeches to a packed assembly hall.
Primary 6 children got the opportunity to go to the Alley theatre this week for the "Ministry of Science Live" event. The pupils (and their teachers) had great fun at the event and got to watch live scientific experiments. More pictures of the day can be seen on the Primary 6 page.
Michelle from Sustrans paid a visit to children in both the Junior and Senior school this week to discuss safety whilst cycling with the children. Michelle will return to St Mary's later this year for a number of events to promote cycling safety.
Everyone at St Mary's would like to welcome all the new P1 children to school. A slide show of the children playing in their new classrooms can be found in the gallery.
School holiday dates for children are now on the school calendar These dates include School Development Days when teachers are involved in curriculum development work and there is no school for pupils. Also please note that school will finish at 12 noon on 21st December, 24th March and 30th June. Other school events will be added to the calendar throughout the year once the dates become known.
