Cross Country Report – Tuesday 11th October 2022

​This morning the boys and girls teams from primary 5 to primary 7 participated in the first cross country event of the year at Castlederg High School. Despite the soft ground, conditions were perfect as the children set off at a fast pace. As the pace steadied, settling into their stride, the children performed very well trying their best to keep up with, and pass the competition in the field of 10 other schools. A special mention to Darcie who finished 2nd overall in the girls race. Well done to all the boys and girls that participated from St Mary’s in the event. Thank you to Mrs Cathy McBeth for attending the event with the children offering words of encouragement and helping to prepare the children for the races.
Training continues on a Wednesday morning in the Junior site at 8.15am.
