Our Primary 3 children went on a trip to the North West Regional College today where they got to taste different foods and tried to prepare their own food. This was part of the QUB Daire Project as part of their healthy eating and healthy lifestyles study. The boys and girls really enjoyed their day and even got a goody bag to take home!
Congratulations to St. Mary’s Netball Team who came 2nd in the finals of the North West League. They will now progress to the Northern Ireland Finals in Lisburn in June. Well done girls!
Congratulations to both or Junior and Senior Choirs who performed fantastically at the Rotary Club Choir Competition last night. The Senior Choir won the large school category and the Junior Choir were runners up in the Junior category. Huge thanks to Mrs O'Donnell and Mr Doherty. A video of the competition is now available to view in the Arts Gallery.
Well done to all the Senior School children who took part in Sports Day today. In the morning the children took a short walk to the Junior School to take part in track and field events and in the afternoon Holy Cross College was the venue for the relay races, The Kieran Hegarty Race and the tug o war. Well done to Clara who won the Kieran Hegarty Trophy for the second year in a row and was presented the trophy by Zia. More photos of the day are now available to view on the sport page in the gallery.
Representatives of our four charities came to St Mary's P.S. today to collect cheques from our head boy, head girl and Senior Prefects following our recent sponsored walks. Thanks again to everyone who sponsored a child and contributed to these very worthy causes.
Thanks very much to Allan who brought his Wee Critters interactive animal show to the Primary 1 children last week. The boys and girls were very brave petting and holding some of the animals. More photos are available to view on the P1 page.
