P.7 pupil Thomas Donaghey, entered an Anti Bullying Competition designed by the (Northern Ireland Anti Bullying Forum) (NIABF). He had to design a poster promoting Anti Bullying. This competition is hosted every year. It is one of the most successful ways to highlight Anti Bullying through out schools in Northern Ireland. Thomas was very successful and came second in the competition at intermediate level. This competition was run over all schools in Northern Ireland.
Thomas Donaghey was presented with a certificate and a goodie bag by John O'Dowd and Lee Kane ( NIABF - Regional Anti Bullying Coordinator). We, at St. Mary's Primary School are delighted to have a winner in our school. Anti Bullying week was further highlighted by St. Mary's Primary School during Anti Bullying Week (17th - 21st November). Displays, class activities, powerpoints, singing and assemblies were demonstrated to the children. Parents received useful information to help their child to talk about this issue. Anti Bullying work will continue to be raised through out the school year. Comments are closed.
