Well Done to the boys and girls in Primary 4 who recently completed the Paired Maths Programme. The children reported that they really enjoyed the programme and will continue to play maths based board games at home. The boys and girls received certificates today to mark their efforts.
The children in Primary 6 were on two trips last week. On Thursday the children attended the Yes Project at Long Tower Community Centre in Derry. The children attended various workshops organised by the Fire Service, EA Youth Service and other service providers, in order to promote community safety. On Friday the P6 children attended "Curiosity Lingers" which was a hands on event encouraging the children to think like scientists and engineers by carrying out experiments, controlling and programming robots and creating games and apps. Well done to Euan(P5), Aoibheann(P7) and Sean (P6) winners of the Senior School e-safety poster competition held as part of Safer Internet Day. Their winning posters can be viewed on the safer internet page.
Well done to the Competition Choir who performed very well at the BBC School Choir of the Year Competition. The Boys and Girls made it to the Regional Final in The Strule Arts Centre on Monday , but unfortunately did not progress to the Semi-Final. Today 1st February is St Brigids' Day. To mark the occasion Primary 7 pupils got the chance to make their own St Brigids' Crosses. Photos of this are available to view on the R.E. Page.
